Still Life Art Work<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In recent years I have really enjoyed painting a series of miniature still lives. The majority of these have been acrylic paintings on a canvas board surface. For my fruit series I initially used a single piece of fruit carefully lit against a plain background. I wanted to make a simple subject more dramatic. I have expanded this idea to include other subjects; cotton reels, leaves and even glass marbles<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you know a tea lover, I have a painting of a china tea cup and saucer which would make an ideal gift. Or if you would like your antique tea set immortalised, I can paint your very own cup and saucer from a clear photograph. There are lots of fun ideas for still life paintings!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My flower art is entirely painted from real life using either garden flowers, plants and even a beautiful formal bouquet as inspiration. I find oil paints are excellent for flower subjects as they blend well and offer both depth and brightness of colour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
